Muong Thanh Golf Club Dien Lam in Nghe An Province consists of 18-holes laid out over hillside terrain. The Vinh golf resort is the first regulation course in the area and part of the Muong Thanh Ecological Park Resort, which also includes a hotel, villas, water park, and safari park.
The course design was by IMG with the design goal to provide a resort course that is enjoyable to play, fair, exciting, and a good test for players of all abilities. The course plays through a series of ravines, wooded areas, and a large lake in play on several holes—the site and course integrate to take of the rolling terrain. The best holes are six through eight, as each offers an excellent Instagram opportunity of the surrounding hills above the large lake.
Construction was by the local Muong Thang Group, who also chose an advance Paspalum grass for use from tee to green. Paspalum gives a verdant green color to the course. It is environmentally sustainable, salt-tolerant, and offers excellent year-round playability.
The on-site hotel overlooking the golf course is for visiting golfers who prefer to stay longer and play multi-rounds at Muong Thanh Golf Club.
