On December 21, Jeju Air successfully launched its first flight from Seoul, South Korea to Da Lat, landing at Lien Khuong Airport with 57 passengers entering Vietnam.
After the first flight, the airlines will operate seven round-trip flights per week on the route to serve the travel demand of passengers. Jeju Air is the first Korean airline to operate a direct route to Lam Dong.
Jeju Air is one of the top 4 major airlines in South Korea presently. The opening of this route to Lien Khuong Airport is a significant step in enhancing air connectivity between Lam Dong province and various regions of South Korea. In 2023, the number of South Korean tourists visiting Da Lat reached a record high, accounting for more than 50% of international visitors to Lam Dong province.
Da Lat - Seoul flight route is expected to bring many benefits, especially for tourism activities. The People's Committee of Lam Dong province expects that the opening of the new flight route will also promote cultural exchanges and economic and trade cooperation between Vietnam and South Korea.
VietJet Air, a low-cost carrier, recently inaugurated new air routes connecting South Korea's Incheon and Busan to Lien Khuong. Simultaneously, Pacific Airlines introduced charter flights between Muan and Lien Khuong, facilitating the transportation of approximately 150 to 160 Korean tourists to Da Lat.
