The worshipping of Hung Vuong in Phu Tho, Viet Nam

The worshipping of Hung Vuong originates from the era of Hung kings dynasty with the belief that all Vietnamese has the same origin as "the Dragon's child and the Fairy's grandchildren", with the same origin (The ancestor), and also expressed the morality of "When drinking water. remember the source".

The spirit of great national unity and community cohesion The records show that the beliefs of Hung Vuong worshipping had existed long before being officially honored in the late Le Dynasty (1428 to 1478). The Late Le, Tay Son and Nguyen Dynasties continuously ordained the temples of Hung kings in Phu Tho, codified the ritual of worshipping, exempted taxes and provided land in the area around the temple for people to cultivate crops and take care of the temple. Currently, there are 1,417 temples of Hung king in the whole country.
