A Vietnamese visa is a kind of travel document granted by Vietnamese competent authorities, providing permission to travel to and enter Vietnam.
Starting from August 15, 2023, individuals from every country and territory globally can apply for an electronic visa (e-visa) for entry into Vietnam. Vietnam E-visa is valid for a maximum of 90 days, single or multiple entry.
Here is the list of border gates that allow foreigners to enter and exit Vietnam by E-visa.
Officially there are only two price options for applying visa to Vietnam:
25 USD for a single entry visa
50 USD for multiple-entry visa
This price is applied to individuals. It means one visa only applies to one person. The price is officially announced by the Vietnam government, and will not be refunded once paid, no matter whether your visa is accepted or not.
Vietnam e-visa typically requires 4-6 working days to complete under normal conditions. Nevertheless, during public holidays, processing times may be extended due to the higher number of applications received. Here you check the application status and download E-Visa.
It is recommended that travelers should apply for Vietnam e-visa to Vietnam on their own, as the process does not take a lot of time. It will save you agency fees too. However, you can consider using an agency for the visa if:
- You feel the process of visa application is so complicated, and want to get somebody to do all of those for you.
- You are in an urgent situation: your arrival in Vietnam will be soon but you have not got a visa yet.
Above is some information about Vietnam e-visa you should know. Wishing you a pleasant journey in Vietnam.
