The Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF 2024)

 

Da Nang will host The Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF 2024) will take place from June 8-July 13 with 7 international teams participating (France, Italy, Poland, and Finland), including 3 new competitors from the U.S, China, and Germany for the first time and the host Da Nang- Vietnam.

The performances will be organized in 5 nights (including 4 qualifying round nights and a final round night) in the Han River port area, with a grandstand size of about 17,000 seats. The opening night is scheduled on the evening of June 8, the night fireworks will be held every Saturday night in the following weeks (with a week off before the end of the final night). The final night of DIFF 2024 will take place on July 13.

Each team's performance time should be around 20 minutes, according to the organizers, to light up the summer by the Han River.

Da Nang is the only locality in Vietnam to have hosted a fireworks festival, making it a magnet for the best fireworks producers from around the world each year since 2008. It has been building a "Fireworks Festival City" reputation to promote it as a top destination in central Viet Nam and Asia.

The DIFF has helped the city win recognition as Asia's Leading Festival & Event Destination in 2016 and 2022 by the World Travel Awards.

The total number of visitors to the central beach city of Da Nang in 2023 is estimated to exceed 7.4 million, doubling the figure in 2022 and equivalent to 93 percent of the figure in 2019 before the COVID-19 pandemic broke out, the municipal Department of Tourism has reported.

Marble Mountains (Ngu Hanh Son): A cluster of five limestone and marble hills, each named after one of the five elements. Explore caves, pagodas, and shrines scattered throughout the mountains, offering both cultural and natural beauty.

Han River Bridge: Another significant bridge crossing the Han River, the Han River Bridge is a swing bridge that rotates 90 degrees to allow boats to pass through. It's also beautifully lit up at night, creating a picturesque scene.

Son Tra Peninsula (Monkey Mountain): Explore the lush greenery and diverse wildlife of this scenic peninsula, which offers hiking trails, secluded beaches, and the iconic Linh Ung Pagoda with its towering Lady Buddha statue overlooking the sea.

Hai Van Pass: Embark on a scenic drive or motorbike ride along this iconic mountain pass, which offers breathtaking views of the coastline and surrounding landscapes. It's considered one of the most beautiful coastal roads in the world.
