Viet Nam, Quan ho Bac Ninh as the intangible Cultural Heritage of humanity

Quan ho Bac Ninh are folk tunes of the Northern delta, originated mainly from Kinh Bac region (Bac Ninh and Bac Giang). This art is made up of many elements such as music, lyrics, costumes, festivals. with a charming folk singing style, showing the close relationship between male and female singers and is a typical cultural feature of Kinh Bac people.

Quan ho is the most abundant genre of folk songs in the Vietnamese folk treasure and is handed down from generation to generation through the oral tradition. In 2009, UNESCO recognized the Quan ho Bac Ninh as the intangible Cultural Heritage of humanity. The scope of official recognition includes 49 villages: 5 villages for Bac Giang province and 44 villages for Bac Ninh province.
