STEP 01 ◆ TEE TIME
Where do meals fall on a round day?
Most Da Nang tee times are booked in the morning, which fixes the shape of the day. Breakfast is taken at the hotel roughly two hours before tee off, lunch follows immediately after the round either at the clubhouse or on the way back into the city, and dinner takes place in the evening once guests have returned to the hotel. An afternoon tee time reverses the order and places lunch before play, in which case TGROUP advises a lighter menu.
The rule our operations team applies is simple: a restaurant more than thirty minutes away is not scheduled for lunch on a playing day. An extra hour on the road removes the margin that the rest of the itinerary depends on, and the cost of that decision usually appears on the final transfer to the airport.

Package rates apply on weekdays and weekends but not on public holidays or the New Year period, and the vehicle allocation changes with group size.

What is actually left to decide on the ground?
Once breakfast is inside the hotel rate, three decisions remain for a four-day golf trip: the lunch after each round, one or two dinners outside the hotel, and refreshments during play. TGROUP does not publish restaurant prices, because they vary widely by venue and by menu, and a figure that is wrong by the time you travel is worse than no figure at all. What we do instead is separate the two columns in the quotation, so you can see which meals are prepaid and which are not.

TGROUP's reading of this — none of these studies was conducted in Da Nang, and we do not present them as evidence about Vietnam. What they share is a direction that matches our own operating experience: meals influence how the whole trip is judged afterwards, and tolerance for unfamiliar food differs sharply within the same group. For that reason we plan one familiar meal and one local meal per day rather than committing a whole itinerary to either.
STEP 06 ◆ OPERATIONS
How group dining is run
Beyond eight guests, seating and arrival time matter more than the choice of venue. TGROUP notifies the restaurant of an expected arrival window based on the projected finish of the round, and keeps the vehicle on standby so the group can move on immediately afterwards. Vegetarian requirements, allergies and spice limits are collected at the time of confirmation rather than on the day.
