The complex consists of three adjacent protected areas: Hoa Lu ancient cultural and historical relic, Trang An - Tam Coc - Bich Dong landscapes and Hoa Lu special-use primeval forest. Trang An is a prominent model of human-environment interaction over 30,000 years of development in Southeast Asia, a place of invaluable historical and cultural value, an intact information store on the traditions of human habitation.
