Vietnam Golf Cart Policy: What the Green Fee Covers and When a Single-Cart Surcharge Applies

The Vietnam golf cart policy is simpler than it looks: on every course we book, the published green fee is quoted as green + caddie + 1/2 cart, which means one cart shared by two players. You pay extra only when a cart is not shared.

As listed on 28 August 2026, that extra charge is $19.32 at Ba Na Hills and Montgomerie Links, $21.47 at The Dalat at 1200, $25.33 at Legend Danang, $25.76 at KN Golf Links Cam Ranh, and $34.35 on weekdays or $38.65 at weekends at Long Bien in Hanoi. Club rental, where published, runs from $38.65 to $42.51.

Scope of this page — every figure below was read from the course pages on en.tgroup.vn on 28 August 2026. Where a course does not publish an item, the table says so rather than estimating it.

How to read this table
▸ “Shared golf cart” and “single cart surcharge” describe the same situation from opposite sides: an amount added for a cart that is not shared by two players.
▸ KN Golf Links prices the item by round length, which is why 27 and 36 holes appear separately.
▸ “Not listed” means the course page does not publish that item. We confirm it in writing before you pay.

What “green + caddie + 1/2 cart” actually covers

Key  The published fee assumes two players share one cart, with a caddie assigned.

Vietnamese clubs quote the round as a bundle rather than as separate lines. The half-cart notation is the part visitors most often misread: it is not half the cart fee, it is half a cart — your share of a vehicle carrying two bags and two players. A four-ball therefore uses two carts and pays nothing additional for them.

When a single-cart surcharge applies

Key  A solo player, or the odd player in a three-ball, normally triggers the surcharge.

The amount is set by the club, not by the operator. Ba Na Hills and Montgomerie Links are the lowest at $19.32; Long Bien in Hanoi is the highest of the six listed here, and the only one that also splits weekday and weekend pricing, at $34.35 and $38.65.

Why the same item costs different amounts

Key  Cart charges track course layout and operating cost, not the green fee level.

It is tempting to assume the most expensive course carries the most expensive cart. The table shows otherwise: Legend Danang has a higher green fee than Ba Na Hills yet a $25.33 cart charge, while Long Bien, a city course in Hanoi, is higher again. Treat the two lines as independent when you build a budget.

Where the green fee itself stands right now

Key  Confirmed rates run to a stated date; anything beyond it stays indicative until 30 days before play.
Course18-hole green feeRate statusNext season (indicative)
Ba Na Hills$118.09Confirmed to 31/08 · $120.23 for 9/2026$133.11 (10–12/2026 and 1–3/2027)
Montgomerie Links$111.64Confirmed to 31/10$124.53 (11–12/2026 and 1–3/2027)
Legend Danang$133.11Confirmed to 30/09$148.14 (10–12/2026 and 1–3/2027)

Ask which of the two you have been quoted. A quotation built on an indicative rate can move when the confirmed rate is issued, and on these Da Nang courses that step is roughly $13 to $15 per round.

Clubs and the items that sit outside the cart line

Key  Club rental is a separate charge, from $38.65 to $42.51 where it is published.

If you are flying in without clubs, add rental to your estimate at the outset rather than at check-in. Availability of left-handed and ladies’ sets is limited at most clubs, so it is worth reserving the set at the same time as the tee time.

What you still settle on the course

Key  Caddie tips are paid on site and are not part of the green fee or the invoice.

Course pages state that caddie tips of roughly $15 per 18 holes are not included. Carrying that amount per round, per player, in local currency avoids the most common friction point at the end of a round.

Frequently asked questions

Does the published green fee already include a cart?Yes. The rate is quoted as green + caddie + 1/2 cart, meaning one cart shared by two players.
What exactly is a single-cart surcharge? The amount added when one player uses a cart alone. Across the courses listed above it ranges from $19.32 to $38.65.
Why is Long Bien higher than the Da Nang courses for the same item? Each club sets its own cart rate, and Long Bien also separates weekday and weekend pricing. We publish each course as listed rather than averaging.
Are caddie tips included? No. Caddie tips are paid on site and are not part of the green fee or the package invoice.
Can I walk instead of taking a cart?Cart policy is set by each club and some courses require one. We confirm the rule for your chosen course before you commit.
