Vietnam offers year-round golf across six distinct regions

Vietnam has become one of Asia’s most practical golf destinations. The country now has courses designed by Greg Norman, Nick Faldo, Colin Montgomerie, Robert Trent Jones Jr and Luke Donald, most of them within an hour of an international airport, and green fees that remain well below Japan, Korea or Singapore.

We are TGROUP, a licensed Vietnamese tour operator with our head office in Da Lat and a branch in Ho Chi Minh City. We book tee times directly with the courses, so the figures below are the rates published on our own system on 28 July 2026, not estimates.

01The six golf regionsWhere the courses are and when they play best

Golf in Vietnam is grouped around six areas. Each has a different character, and the right choice depends more on what else you want from the trip than on the courses alone.

All rates below are published on our booking system and include green fee, caddie fee and a shared cart (two players per cart) unless stated otherwise.

Please note

Rates are those published on 28 July 2026 and change with season, exchange rate and day of week. Some courses confirm final rates 30 days before play. Caddie tips are paid separately in cash on the day — see section 04.

03Golf packages — hotel, transport and roundsFrom two players, private vehicle included

If you would rather not assemble hotels, transfers and tee times yourself, these are our fixed packages. Each includes a 5-star hotel, breakfast, the rounds listed, a private vehicle with driver and driver gratuity.

04On-course practicalitiesCaddies, tips, carts, pairing

A few things work differently in Vietnam from what visiting golfers may expect.

▸ Caddies are compulsory

Every course assigns a caddie, and the fee is already included in the rates above. Most caddies at the international courses speak working English and read lines well.

▸ Tips are paid in cash

Caddie gratuity is not included and is paid directly on the day, typically VND 400,000–500,000 per 18 holes. Cards are not accepted for tips, so bring dong.

▸ Carts are shared

Rates include one cart per two players. A single cart carries a supplement, usually around $25–$40 depending on the course.

▸ Pairing

Groups of fewer than four may be paired with other players under course rules. If no pairing is available there is no extra charge, and five-ball play is not permitted.

▸ Club rental

Available at all major courses, generally $55–$80 per set, paid on site. Worth booking ahead in high season.

▸ Weather

Rain in Vietnam is usually short and heavy. Rounds are rarely cancelled; refunds require the course management to approve the cancellation.

05When to go — season by regionThere is always a region in season

Vietnam runs more than 1,650 km from north to south, so there is no single golf season — there is always a region playing well.

RegionBest monthsWhat to expect otherwise
Hanoi & the northOctober – AprilCool and dry. June–August is hot and humid.
Da Nang, Hoi An, HueFebruary – AugustSeptember–November brings the heaviest rain of the year.
Da LatAll yearHighland climate around 18–24°C. Afternoon showers May–October.
Nha Trang & Cam RanhJanuary – AugustA short wet spell arrives October–November.
Ho Chi Minh City & the southNovember – AprilMay–October is the wet season, with short afternoon storms.

A useful combination

Da Lat sits at around 1,500 m and stays temperate all year, which makes it the natural pairing with a coastal region if you are travelling in the wet months. Many of our guests play two days on the coast and two days in the highlands.

06Before you flyEntry, passports, golf bags, addresses

Vietnam grants 45 days visa-free entry to a number of nationalities, and an e-visa valid for up to 90 days is available online through the Vietnam Immigration Department. Entry rules differ by passport, so please check the official portal for your own nationality before booking flights.

Your passport should have at least six months validity remaining. Golf bags travel as sports equipment on most carriers serving Vietnam, but allowances differ — confirm with your airline.

One local detail worth knowing: Vietnam reorganised its provinces on 1 July 2025 and the country now has 34 provincial units instead of 63. Some course addresses therefore show a different province name than older listings — Hoi An now falls under Da Nang City, and Phu Quoc under An Giang province. Nothing has moved; only the administrative label changed.

Booking timeline

Vietnamese courses open their tee sheets on relatively short notice. If your travel dates are more than a month out we hold the request and confirm as soon as the sheet opens. Once a booking is confirmed, we honour the quoted rate even if the course raises its price afterwards.

TGROUP has operated in Vietnam since 2019 as a licensed inbound tour operator, working directly with courses and hotels rather than through intermediaries. We handle tee times, private transport, hotels and on-the-ground support in English and Korean.

Browse the full price list at our golf course directory, see fixed itineraries under golf packages, or combine a round with a resort stay through Stay & Play.
