Description

Golf travel is TGROUP TRADE & TRAVEL’s core business. In Korea we book tee times for our guests and pair every round with a private chauffeured car between hotel and clubhouse – effectively essential, since most Korean courses lie well outside the city and are not served by the metro.

Tell us your dates, the number of golfers and the region you want to play; we handle the booking, the transport, and a clear briefing on the on-course charges so nothing comes as a surprise.

Why book through an operator in Korea

  • Tee times open early and sell out fast. Most courses release bookings around two weeks to a month ahead at a fixed morning hour, and the best courses can fill within seconds.
  • Many courses require a foursome. Two- and three-ball groups are usually limited to off-peak slots.
  • Booking systems are largely in Korean, and many clubs give priority to members or agency bookings.
  • Courses sit one to two hours from Seoul, so transport has to be planned the moment the tee time is confirmed.

Regions we book

Region Character
Gyeonggi, around Seoul The densest concentration of courses in Korea, one to two hours from central Seoul. Ideal for guests based in Seoul playing and returning the same day.
Gangwon – Pyeongchang, Chuncheon Mountain courses, cooler air, and the country’s finest autumn colour. Suited to a two- or three-day golf and resort trip.
Busan and Gyeongnam Milder than the north, with a longer playing season. Convenient for guests flying directly into Busan.
Jeju Island The warmest part of Korea, playable virtually year round including winter – the standard choice for a cold-season golf trip.

What a round costs – the components

Item How it is charged
Green fee Varies by day of week and tee-time slot. Weekdays are considerably cheaper than weekends; early-morning and late-afternoon slots are softer than prime morning times.
Cart fee Charged per group rather than per player.
Caddie fee A caddie is mandatory at most Korean courses. Charged per group and usually settled directly at the club.
Club and shoe rental At each club’s published rates, reserved in advance.
Clubhouse food and beverage Settled on site.
Transport Private chauffeured car per transfer or by the day, arranged by TGROUP.

TGROUP issues a package quotation per group, stating clearly what is included and what is settled at the club.

The Korean golf season

  • April to May: mild weather and fresh fairways – the year’s first peak.
  • June to August: the rainy season and humid heat, offset by lower rates and easier availability.
  • September to November: the finest months, dry and cool with autumn colour – and the hardest time to secure a tee time.
  • December to March: many courses in central and northern Korea close or restrict play in snow and frost. For winter golf, choose Jeju or the south.

What TGROUP handles

  • Course selection matched to your group’s standard, budget and hotel location.
  • Tee-time booking and confirmation, including difficult weekend and peak-season slots.
  • Private chauffeured transfers between hotel and course, with room for golf bags.
  • Advance reservation of clubs, shoes and carts.
  • Hotels, airport transfers and sightseeing combined into a complete golf trip.
  • On-the-ground support if weather forces a change of time or course.

Who this service is for

  • Golf groups of 4 to 12 travelling privately rather than joining a set departure.
  • Companies running an internal tournament or a client appreciation trip.
  • Families and friends combining golf with sightseeing on a flexible schedule.
  • Guests already in Korea who simply need a tee time and a car for a round or two.

Our experience

Three things that surprise first-time visitors. First, caddie and cart fees are separate from the green fee, charged per group and usually payable at the club – so carry Korean won in cash. Second, dress codes are stricter than many guests expect: long trousers and a collared shirt are the standard, and some older clubs expect smart attire from the moment you enter the clubhouse. Third, two-ball groups are very hard to place at weekends – if your group is short of a full four, tell us early rather than close to the date. One practical tip: weekday early-morning slots are both the easiest to secure and the gentlest on cost, at the price of an early start in the cool.

Policy

Booking, payment and cancellation policy

  • TGROUP prepares a package quotation per group once dates, group size, course and region are confirmed; the quotation states what is included and what is settled directly at the club.
  • Caddie fees, cart fees, club and shoe rental and clubhouse food and beverage are generally settled at the club under each club’s own rules.
  • A tee time is held firm only once you confirm and the deposit required by the club is completed.
  • Cancellation terms and penalties are set by each golf club and may be stricter than our general policy; they are stated in the quotation before any deposit.
  • If a course closes due to weather, refunds or rescheduling follow the club’s policy; TGROUP liaises on your behalf and seeks alternatives.
  • Guests are asked to observe each club’s dress code and course rules.
  • Payment via bank transfer or as mutually agreed; for card payments, TGROUP provides a Onepay link.

TGROUP stays with your group from course selection through to the final putt, with local support whenever it is needed.
