What is this product like
After roasting, the cocoa bean shells retain their natural aroma, a mild cocoa fragrance and a characteristic gentle bitterness. Steep in hot water for a few minutes to enjoy a cleansing cocoa husk tea, or grind finely and mix into cake batter for a rustic, natural cocoa flavor.
How to use
For tea: Steep 1–2 tablespoons of cocoa shells in 200–300 ml of hot water at 90–95°C for 3–5 minutes. For baking: Grind the cocoa shells finely and mix into cookie dough, bread dough or granola to enhance aroma and add a light natural crispness. Store in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight.
